“Money Heist: Korea” Stars Yoo Ji Tae, Jeon Jong Seo, And Park Hae Soo On The Pressure Of Remaking A Hit Series

In a recent interview and pictorial for Elle magazine, Yoo Ji Tae, Jeon Jong Seo, and Park Hae Soo dished on their highly-anticipated new remake of “Money Heist”!

Based on the hit Spanish series “Money Heist,” “Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area” follows an anonymous squad of robbers who join forces for an ambitious, large-scale heist on the fictional Unified Korean Mint. Yoo Ji Tae stars as the Professor, the mastermind behind the operation, while his star-studded crew of robbers includes Park Hae Soo (who goes by the name “Berlin”) and Jeon Jong Seo (known as “Tokyo”).

Describing one of the biggest differences between the original series and the Korean remake, Yoo Ji Tae explained, “Two seasons’ worth of plot from the original version were condensed into just 12 episodes [for our remake]. There’s no exposition for exposition’s sake, and we only deliver the key plot points as necessary. There’s a certain pleasure that comes from the fast-paced plot development.”

As for how he prepared for his role, Yoo Ji Tae shared, “In this condensed version, I came to the conclusion that one way I could quickly show the Professor’s charms in one go was through his voice. After giving it lots of thought, I began developing the Professor’s voice while turning to narrations or animated dialogue for reference.”

Meanwhile, Park Hae Soo confessed that there had been a certain amount of pressure that came with remaking such a popular show.

“Of course there were concerns and pressure due to the fact that the original series received such a great response,” said the actor. “But while reading the script, I could clearly see the differences that were unique to ‘Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area.’ There was a fast pace to the story, and the characters definitively gave the Korean version its own strength.”

Park Hae Soo added, “Although Berlin is a fictional character, you could see him as a sort of metaphor for the situation between North Korea and South Korea, which makes his story even more forlorn.”

Finally, Jeon Jong Seo shared her thoughts on the strengths of their new remake.

“[The drama] does a great job portraying the near future,” she remarked. “The North Korea-South Korea situation adds an element of tension and suspense, and it also bears the meaning of unity. This two-sided situation completely fills up the background setting of the Mint.”

The actress also noted that viewers may be surprised by her version of the Tokyo character, commenting, “I think viewers will [go into the show] imagining the free-spirited charms and vibe of Tokyo from the original version. But the Tokyo in our remake is calmer, and she’s someone who steps up and tries to resolve the situation. I tried to maintain a cleaner and more aloof tone [for our version of Tokyo]. You can look forward to seeing a new side of Jeon Jong Seo.”

Lauren Graham And Peter Krause Have Reportedly Called It Quits After 10 Long Years!

In a shocking turn of events, popular actress Lauren Graham and Peter Krause have called it quits after a decade of togetherness! A source has further claimed that the pair quietly ended their relationship last year itself.

The Gilmore Girls actress and the former “Six Feet Under” star met in 1995 while they both appeared on the NBC sitcom “Caroline in the City” before landing their big breakthrough roles. Krause once joked in an early interview of 2017 about how Lauren had him move some furniture into her apartment for her back then, but he failed to catch the signal. He even made a surprise appearance as a park ranger on Netflix’s Gilmore Girls revival.

The Pair Co-Starred In The Series, Parenthood

The pair went on to present together at the 2002 Screen Actors Guild Awards. While the two were friends for a long time, they did not begin dating until they co-starred as siblings Sarah and Adam Braverman in “Parenthood” back in 2010.

The Gilmore Girls alum once opened up about working with her beau, saying that one of the things that have been so fun is that it’s so easy, further adding that it’s a lot to work with somebody and spend time with them, too. While talking about the romance, Lauren revealed how nobody knew about it for a while because they like to be at home, cooking and not going out and that she has also been protective of it because it was important to convince viewers that the real-life couple is brother and sister on the show!

During the pandemic, Lauren returned home after five months of working in Vancouver to Krause and his son Roman, who seems to have implemented several new protocols in her absence. The actress opened up about it during an April 2021 appearance on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show, saying that the re-entry was more difficult and that it was more like they were the married couple, and she was the person who they were like, “we don’t do it that way anymore”!

BTS Finally Return To Music Shows And Unsurprisingly Steal ARMYs’ Hearts With Their “M Countdown” Performances

BTS recently had their comeback with the album PROOF, and so many things made ARMYs excited about this comeback. One of those was that after two years, the group was going to be making a comeback to music shows to promote their tracks from the album in front of Korean fans.

After a long wait, BTS finally made their return to music shows to promote their title track “Yet To Come (The Most Beautiful Moment)” and “For Youth” on M Countdown.

When it came to the day of the broadcast, Mnet got fans excited by posting the standard idol images of BTS that all artists have before a performance. In the images, the group had two contrasting outfits for the two performances but looked just as good.

The caption of the tweet was also as cute, as the group shared a heartfelt message to ARMY, which seemed even more significant considering everything that has happened over the past few days.

"Our pride, the world’s pride, the universe’s pride
When we’re together, a miracle happens like a desert turning to sea
I will make it short…
AFBF (ARMY Forever BTS Forever) BAHO (BTS has to be Always Happy Okay?) AAHO (ARMY has to be Always Happy Okay?).  I purple you.
#BTS #YetToCome #MustWatchMcountdownLive"

Then came the promos throughout the show, and it was easy to see why Mnet was making such a big deal of the performance because it was such a special moment for both the group and ARMYs worldwide.

Of course, when it came to the performance, it was unlike anything anyone had seen. Due to only attending a few music shows, BTS performed in an arena to allow as many ARMYs to watch them.

The sound that came from the fans when BTS appeared was phenomenal, and it was even more touching to see the faces of the members when they saw all the ARMYs waiting for them with their lightsticks.

Their track “For Youth” was the first track they performed and from the minute the members started performing, ARMYs worldwide were transported to a BTS concert. Of course, their visuals were second to none. But each of the members’ performance and vocals was truly spectacular and showcased their true talent.

The members then moved to the center of the stage. As the song reached the crescendo, the lights, staging, and atmosphere all seemed to perfectly join together and create something magical.

Like every music show performance, the track ended with an ending fairy. Or, in this case, seven very handsome ending fairies. All of the members seemed naturally overwhelmed by the performance, whether it was the song itself or seeing ARMYs sway along to the track.

The group’s next song was their title track, “Yet To Come (The Most Beautiful Moment).” Although K-ARMY had warned that Suga was starting on the piano, it didn’t prepare everyone watching for the beautiful sound the group’s rapper created. With the dim lights and strong atmosphere, it felt like something out of a movie.

What stood out the most because of the size of the venue was just how beautiful the sea of ARMY Bombs looked. They were all programmed to flash and change colors at the same time. It was definitely a sight to behold.

Seeing so many fans must’ve been overwhelming for the group but they continued to showcase their true talent throughout the nostalgic and emotional track. Despite having no choreography, their stage presence was out of this world and hard to compete with, and it allowed their vocals to shine.

If the ending fairies for “For Youth” were nostalgic, the members seemed to find their groove for their title track and embraced the chaos that idols have created.

Jimin, J-Hope, and Jungkook started off cute, followed by RM, who got seemingly embarrassed by his closeup. It ended with V, Suga, and Jin having some fun with their poses, whether it was heavy breathing, acting cool, and even some aegyo.

In the end, it was even more exciting for BTS and ARMYs as the group got their second win for “Yet To Come (The Most Beautiful Moment)”.

With two more music shows to come, ARMYs will undoubtedly be hoping to keep getting wins for BTS and the group will continue to provide amazing performances that capture the hearts of everyone watching.
